Your country is only as good as your worst behavior. This is America now. Are you proud?

The last time I was proud of being an American I was a kid in the military.

The analogy would be for a job interview or a date: how does the person treat the receptionist or the wait staff? For this case, someone wants to enter your country because they think it is an amazing place. You have the option to show them that it is an amazing place even if you choose not to let them in, or you can show them they are actually wrong all along by treating them like garbage and abusing them.

Maybe we could use more tact when enforcing our border policies. Either way, it's important to remember why it is important to have those policies. We can't afford to save the world. We have our own very serious economic issues.
