Getting a fleshlight shouldn't be considered weird, especially since women are almost encouraged to get sex toys, while guys who get them are frowned upon.

People's opinions about something you do tend to be influenced by your response to it. I took an intentional year-long sabbatical from women and relationships in my 20s and bought a flesh light the first week of it. I named it Tina after a girl that everyone knew I was into but never approached. I told everyone with no shame. Literally everyone I knew (except my parents) that I was unavailable due to spending time sorting myself out, and banging a flesh light. Everyone thought it was hilarious and often asked me how Tina was doing. I had lots of close friends that would have told me if it was weird, trust me. It ended up being just a funny thing that everyone around me was cool with because I was totally open about it.
