General * A lot of people will tell you that you need a mic but you really don't need one. People will just cry because they died and feel like you could have told them that an enemy was coming / around the corner / ... * Sound is probably the most important thing in this game, you can hear where the enemies are if they are near you (This is why talking people can be very annoying in this game, expect if they give you good intel, but that's very rare) * Even tho it looks like you can only breach hatches and walls, there are a lot of floors that can also be breached and shot through (you just cant jump through because of metal beams) * Grenades can be cooked by holding your grenade button, this way you basically have something similar to Ashes M120 and can breach barricades from further away and without getting close to the thing you want to breach

Weapons * SMG-11: It can be used as Smoke or Sledge, if you put an ACOG on the SMG-11 you will basically have a great long range weapon in your back pocket, it is really accurate and can basically be used as sniper rifle with burst shots.

Recruit At level 70+ (Also played in closed and open beta) I still play recruit very often, even tho he has no special ability, he still has the possibility to be a shield wielding class, also he has grenades and breaching charges at once. My preferred load-out: * FBI Recruit * Shield * M45 or 5.7 USG (This comes down to damage+accuracy against fire rate+clip size) * Frag grenade * Breaching charge Recruit as defender is pretty useless tho, NEVER pick him.

Thatcher If you want to play thatcher make sure you have a thermite, a thatcher/thermite team can be very useful. If you don't have a thermite consider picking thermite or another operator.

Montagne This game is not all about the kills. As montagne I regularly just go in as first person with my shield extended, I try baiting them into wasting their C4 and I also eat all their bullets, if the entrance is a little bigger I try going to the one side so they shoot at me and then my team mates come out from the other side and shoot back at the guy and most of the time kill him.

Glaz On medium to long range you need two shots to the body or one shot to the head to kill an enemy. On close range shots to the body and head are one shots. You should never only sit outside and snipe, glaz is a very good close quarters operator too, especially with the scope since it increases your visibility. The OTs-03 is the only weapon that can shoot through the windows on the plane map and castles barricades. Once you shot through the windows your enemies can shoot back.

Fuze Every APM shoots five grenades. If you know there are 2+ enemies in a room that is full of Jäger's ADS and you also know a good place to put your APM you should put both of them directly after each other, a maximum of six grenades will be blocked and you will still be able to kill the enemies with the four remaining grenades. (However this should only be done in situations where you have no other way to get rid of the ADS and the enemies are well hidden inside the room)

Blitz Even if your enemies are facing away from you, you can still flash them with your shield.

IQ The RED Mk III spectre (Electronics detection device) can be used to locate a Pulse since his cardiac sensor counts as electronics device.

Shield operators * If you use a shield be aware that your left shoulder, your right arm and your knee (when crouching) or your legs (when standing) are visible to the enemy. If I encounter a shield I will just shoot at one of these places and get the kill because the shielded enemy is pinned (He has four options: back off and risk dying by me shooting the named places, walk towards me and risk dying by me shooting at him, run away and risk dying by me shooting at him, try shooting back and risk dying by me switching to shooting his head)

Castle Do NEVER barricade all the exits / entrances to the objective room(s). You will lock your teammates in our out and they'll have to destroy your barricade whenn it comes down to that, effectively making you useless.

Pulse In casual: If you are still searching for the enemies with your cardiac sensor, try to look at the top left where your points are displayed. The points are displayed when the circle for an enemy is only barely visible (meaning you can't see them on your cardiac sensor yet but you get points for detecting them)

Doc Doc makes the most sense to be picked when you have a rook in your team, if there's no rook you should probably pick rook instead of doc. If you have a doc in your team and you get downed, do not follow your first instinct to crawl into the most secure and shut off place, try to crawl into a position where the enemy can not see you but your doc can, so he can revive you.

Rook Not really a tip but as a rook you should ALWAYS place your armor bag directly after the round has begun. Roamers and people who want to watch drones will probably not pick up your armor if you wait more than five seconds to place it.

Jäger Do never put your ADS too close to each other. Every ADS can shoot two projectiles / grenades. If they are too close to each other and detect the incoming projectile at the same time, they will both shoot the projectile. This means if you put all three ADS close to each other, you effectively only stop two instead of six projectiles.
