Given to my young daughter this Xmas

Considering it's a religion built entirely on terrifying people into conversion to avoid an eternal torture, I'm not surprised they find every possible method to exploit kids' vulnerabilities.

I understand your wife playing "middle man" and respecting her friends' beliefs. Shockingly, I still have some close Christian friends, too, and I simply have to overlook that aspect of them and respect we're different.

But that respect would end the moment they tried to force those beliefs onto my child (I don't have kids, but you know what i mean).

Does your wife support you removing that book from the house? Or does she want you to allow your daughter to read it? I see how that's triggering, for sure.
