I have given up on trying to stay dry… we will just be sticky, milky monsters

Haha I think that problem peaked for me a week or two ago. Six weeks today and I have to say it’s become a lot more manageable. Shit still happens of course but I think I’ve gotten better at managing it. Interventions include:

  • Not wearing clothes except for bra and sleep pants at home. So if I create laundry it will just be underwear. I throw a robe on if I need to be momentarily presentable. I also chose nursing bras that could pass for sports bras, and lulu leggings
  • wearing a tight enough bra with breast pads. I have a leaky boob with a monstrous amount of let down, but somehow they don’t let down as much if I smush them
  • having a towel at all times. When I do side lying I throw a towel over my top boob.
  • have a Rubbermaid tub when I’m nursing for when I need to throw filled haakaas and ladybugs in

It’s still not perfectly in control, but at least I’ve had to do a lot less extra laundry (join the dark side. Give up on clothes!) and bedsheet changes.
