This happened to my mom but I was in the car when it happened so it’s kinda my story too.

My mom was a teacher back in Spain in an international high school. One summer we were on vacation in California since I’d never been and we’re just strolling around San Francisco. We went to go see UC Berkeley since I was applying to college there. There’s like 200 people there for tours so they divide us into smaller groups. When I get to my group I look across and see a girl from my high school back in Spain. Turns out she’s also looking to apply to Berkeley. We catch up for a bit and then continue with our tours. Here’s where shit gets a little insane. After the tour, we’re driving back to SF and we decide to go through Sausalito, the city on the other side of the Golden Gate. My mom really wants to take a photo of the ocean so she tells my dad to stop the car randomly in the middle of a two way road about half a mile outside the city. She gets out of the car and onto the road to take the photo when we all hear “Mrs. last name, Mrs. last name” we turn around and there’s a little Asian lady sprinting towards us. Turns out she was the mother of one of my moms students who was also in California on vacation. That day felt like we entered the twilight zone.
