What drives me nuts is that thankfully we don’t have to suffer Whedon’s Josstice Weague anymore, ZSJL has replaced it in the fans hearts and it’s going to be made canon by The Flash, even if you don’t think ZSJL is that much better, the theatrical dumpster fire was at least replaced by something that fits the tone and style of the movies before it.

But we still have to stomach Studio Squad when the Ayer Cut of Suicide Squad is out there almost entirely complete. The tone and style of the Ayer Cut is far closer to Batman v Superman with Ayer calling it a companion piece to the proceeding movie. Ayer studied Nolan’s Batman films in preparation and the Ayer Cut was edited into it’s final cut by Lee Smith, the editor of Nolan’s Batman movies. All that would’ve had a full cinematic score, no pop songs.

But then like a proto version of what happened to JL, the studio gets involved and it all goes tits up. I just wish there was more Snyder fans out there who would put more effort into getting the Ayer Cut released (an achievable goal) than those wasting their time trying to get more Snyder movies made (an unachievable goal).
