The funeral business is a malignant, parasitic, disgusting industry. I just lost my dad a few weeks ago (who was terminally ill to begin with) to Covid19 - in the midst of all this madness.

So basically no funeral... the funeral home ghouls just convinced my grief-stricken mother to buy a nice expensive wood box that they could transport the body from the hospital morgue to the cemetery, no wake or funeral, no embalming, no hair, makeup and all that morbid nonsense... no arrangements other than the hearse to pick up body, put it in a box, deliver to the cemetery, get the priest to say a quick prayer at the graveside with the few family members all distanced and masked, and that was it. It was rushed and horrific. They charged her 9k. My siblings went mental and are going to retaliate legally. I'm still shell shocked by it all.

When I go back the source, my family has strict orders on my wishes (which I am putting in a living will) - most inexpensive cremation and do whatever the hell you want from there, but DO NOT WASTE ALL THAT MONEY ON A STUPID CUSTOM THAT NEEDS TO GO AWAY - no wake no funeral home - if they want to do a memorial service or a party (life celebration), please do.
