'Hostages taken' in French church by 2 armed men- BBC News

A Lot of people want to know why these things are happening. But you can't be in a state of anger and be able to be rational. So let's look at this level-headed for a second. This religion is not to blame, not on the whole at least. It's primarily the same as any other religion (Don't hurt other people, basic moral code, etc.). HOWEVER, unfortunately the people committing many of the world's current atrocities are 'part of this religion'. They are not true representatives of it. there is a reason they are called radicalized, its not a normal 'state' for the people who belong to this religion. It has to do with the horrible conditions people are being raised in in these countries. Im sure that if you raised a child in an area where the Western world has dropped bombs and killed many people, you would have a skewed perception of the world (especially if you had no way of learning the other side of the story through schools and the like).

Now look. I'm a person who did basic religious studies in high school (i'm not 'qualified' to talk like i know Islam by any means, but then again, neither are the (as of right now) 5497 other people who have commented and they seem to have it all down pat in their eyes.) But i feel that as a person who can at least contribute to the discussion instead of playing the blame game, I ought to chime in with my two cents. And i want to make it clear right now that i DO NOT CONDONE THE ACTIONS OF THESE MEN WHATSOEVER. My thoughts go out to the people of France yet again, something that sadly feels like a common occurrence nowadays.

TL;DR: Not the religion's fault. It's the conditions. It could have happened to any other religious group if the conditions were the same. Try to be more reasonable about things.
