I can tell from your post and this reply that you have very little self-confidence. You have my sympathy because that is a quite common condition in many young people (I was one of them) but if you don't force yourself to stop hoping people will somehow discern your needs and magically fulfill them instead of taking a risk and speaking to people and asking for what you want even at the risk of being rejected or embarrassed then you will have a sad and lonely life. Get there early, stand near the door and speak to him briefly before he goes in. Smile and say Hi, great game last night (or whatever). Message me if you want to do so and so together sometime. It's cool if you don't but I think we might have fun. Then walk away. You may hear from him or not but at least you tried and just trying can help you break out of this passive prison of your own making and maybe find some happiness.
