How do you cope when a prospect is no longer a prospect?

I can see how a month is too little. My mentality just can be different since I was raised by villager parents that didnt really have time to get to know one another since it was set in stone and even my grandparents met on the day of their wedding lol. My sister did end up being engaged to her husband for a year(where the actual getting to know part really happens) and his true colors didnt really show until after the wedding and they're now separated. I'm only telling you this so you have some perspective. Just gotta tawaqul on Allah at the end of the day. I'm very scrutinizing when it comes to potentials and for good reason which is why I think a month is enough to decide whether or not both parties are down to get married. Some cultures just move quicker I guess.
