How did you do it?

My bachelor of design took 4 years, the normal amount of time here. I got through it by constantly telling myself "it's only 4 years" and working way too hard basically just because I didn't want to disappoint my parents. I ended up so burnt out that upon graduating I had absolutely no desire to ever draw again and didn't even apply for a single job in my field. I'm slowly getting my love for it back but only as a hobby, I can't even do commissions for close friends without panicking. I'm in the process of pivoting into web dev now.

Anyway my point being take all the time that you need. That piece of paper is completely useless if you can't use it to get a job. I'm proud I managed to get through uni but I'd trade my degree in a heartbeat for the ability to draw again without feeling all this pressure and shame over my wasted potential.
