So how do I help myself

I'm sorry you have the weight of a family with all their mistakes, no matter how hard you try you can never fix everyone else's mistakes but good on you for keeping it together for so long, now this is only my opinion so don't take it as gospel or anything but why does it come down to you to fix their mistakes? I understand you love your family but when they burden you constantly with so many problems don't you think it's time you took a step back, take some you time and try to wipe the slate clean. You could never throw your life away to help them, you are studying to be a nurse, learning is one of the greatest things in life because no one can take that away from you, find strength and comfort in the fact that you are smart, helpful and caring. Your knowledge in helping your family could help you in the future with your patients, you don't have to run away from your family, you just need to find a different way of dealing with them/the whole situation. Break down what seem like the problems in your life, family, study, sleeping etc and focus one at a time on fixing them, start with sleeping, try different methods before resorting to heavy medication, over the counter sleeping pills could work, any pharmacy should be able to give you those (hopefully where you are that's true) melatonin helps with sleep, try maybe some herbal teas an hour before bed, routine might be an issue, but once you can start sleeping more, other things might fall into place easier, dude, it's never silly to feel good about getting so much shit off your chest, wether its on here, other chatting sites or in anon support groups finding someone who will listen is a great relief, we will listen and offer our support/ advice even throw in some personal experience if we can, just remember we are here if you want to chat, what is it you like doing after work/studying? Do you get practical expierence whilst learning? What stage are you at in your development?
