How Many Former GGers Are Here? What Made You Finally Leave?

Hey did the subreddit get hacked? I tried posting my story of why I left gamergate and joined GamerGhazi, but it got removed. Did a mods account get hacked and end up deleting anti-gamergate posts? I'm kinda scared, it's rather low of them to resort to hacking just to try and win an internet argument. Or was it because I should have posted in this thread instead? Sorry, I didn't notice it, I'll try to look for a relevant thread before posting in the future.

Anyways, here's my story:

Hello, I've been lurking but I decided to make an account because I've been absolutely disgusted by the recent developments in the videogame industry. I've seen a lot of the imbeciles over at Gamergate, and they seem too intellectually lacking to fully understand the concept of infinite parallel universes. These inferior men claim that because videogames are works of fiction, any form of content, no matter how offensive or evil, should be protected as free speech. They state that actions done in videogames "never actually happen", as if that justifies mass murder, rape, or other reprehensible things they seem to defend. They then try to save themselves with the net of saying that what happens in a videogame "isn't something they would ever do in real life." They then label us as "oversensitive", and "over attached to something that isn't even real" and say we "are getting too worked up about something that doesn't cause harm", and that we should "ignore it and not view/play it if we don't like it". But what Gamergaters fail to comprehend is that due to the existence of infinite parallel universes, there exists a world where the actions they do inside a videogame have actual effects on the characters in these fictional worlds, and they feel real pain, real suffering, true problems. So as a result, their decision to support these atrocious creations has a negative effect on lives, causing harm to millions of real beings. To say fiction isn't real is proof of how narrow-minded they are. They cannot see or prove the existence of additional universes, so they completely deny the possibility that they could be causing harm. They potentially cause genocide and suffering, all so that they can enjoy a game that brings a little bit of excitement to their pathetic lives. They see so little, but they assume enlightenment over all possibilities. If I saw a man going on a murderous rampage, I wouldn't want to let him continue or ignore it. I would take action. But apparently these men think that crime is okay, because it takes place where they cannot be affected. It truly disgusts me, I cannot believe they can think in such a manner. I've never seen such a narrow minded group as gamergate. I hope that they will soon recognize their shortcomings, repent from their ways, and realize that things are to be portrayed as they should, not as some twisted work of filth. To product the lives of the neglected, the unspoken, I urge to you contact your local politician and request that illegal acts portrayed in games be banned. Perhaps at first we should simply request that only the most heinous crimes, such as rape and murder, be banned from games. Then perhaps once they are banned, we can work towards creating a more idealized fictional realm in which no harm can be done. I thank you for your time.

Believe it or not, I was actually once stupid enough to believe them. Glad I realized the error of my ways and corrected myself.
