I think by 2010 a large chunk of the serious cosplay community knew about him and would warn eachother and first-time convention-goers about his inappropriate behavior.

The last time he came up on Ghazi, someone linked his lolcow thread. Though, after some clicking around, I couldn't seem to find the page or that comment. I imagine if someone were to find it, there would be a decent-enough timeline of his snowballing reputation as a sexpest.
