How many of you struggle with portion control and midnight snacking?

Im only a few years younger than you, but I dont have that issue. I find that late night snacking/feeling super hungry is a sign that you're not getting enough substance in your meals during the day.

FYI you really shouldn't even attempt fasting til you get your appetite under control.

I'd really like to know what foods you typically habituate because adding a IF window on top of your "ravenous appetite" is destructive to weight loss efforts.

Chicken/greens/brown rice isn't bad, but if you need something more substantive try adding beef or pork in. I don't view this as a "control" thing but rather a "redirection." I don't limit anything so long as the primary food in the meal is animal protein.

I also generally avoid refined/processed foods. Don't really eat sugar/flour/vegetable oil (save for cheatdays once a week)

For perspective, I fast on average 16-20 hrs a day effortlessly. Eat 2 times a day and hunger is background noise at most when I know its time to eat.

I eat a lot of eggs/beef/chicken thighs/salmon occasionally with rice potatoes and greens
