If you are anti abortion, why?

I am not speaking about time and effort, but for mental well being. If the parent is unstable the kid will likely suffer.

The one thing harder than abortion is leaving a child in an orphanage. It is unfortunate for both sides. Many kids grow up in orphanages where they aren't getting proper care, any chance of feeling wanted or end up being abused.

I have already explained that this is a potential life. You can believe this, but..

We shouldn't base laws on belief, but on truths. That's why murder is illegal. Because it is very straight forward: taking away already experienced existence from someone and causing everyone that cared about this person pain. Murder is not the same as non existence.

About morality and a compromise scenario: my personal belief is that already existing people should be more important to protected above potential and suffering should be, where possible consciously avoided.

Thanks for debating with me. If one day science can determine exactly when consciousness etc. starts to develop, I am open to accept new facts.
