You are missing the point. The point is, find a way to learn your products. I do not give a shit how it is done, find a way.

When I worked minimum wage at a big box store, I studied the products. Yes the store gave a lot of training. Just like sporting goods stores give training. But the key is listening to said training. Then it’s called doing extra work so you know what the hell you are talking about. By extra work I mean when at work don’t be talking about last nights party. It’s study the products.

And yea talk to the manager and see about getting extra training. If the sales person has to look at tags then they haven’t been listening to their training.

I don’t care how a person gets the knowledge. Just get the knowledge
