I'm an undecided voter, but am leaning towards a GOP candidate. Why does Bernie deserve my vote?

  1. Public Higher Education - .5% tax on Wall Street Speculation Article from 2013
  2. Expanding Social Security - Removing the cap while at the same time exempting the $118k-$250k band. In other words, up to $118k is taxed for social security, and everything after $250k is taxed for social security. This prevents additional burden from being put on the middle class
  3. Healthcare - Reform the system. With what we pay today, $10,000 per person we should be able to pay for healthcare for all with reform and getting rid of bureaucracy and the middlemen. Also negotiating prescription drug prices would help significantly. What we pay now is just absurd compared to the rest of the world Top economists actually say that Bernie’s play would save $5 Trillion
  4. Increasing the minimum wage is very doable and a good thing Also, keep in mind poor people are not savers. They spend what they have. So in fact, it would create more vibrant economies in poor areas where wealthy people don't live.
  5. Paid Family Leave – a payroll tax of .2%

EMOTIONAL APPEAL ( i did not write it ;))

Everybody asks "how much are Bernie Sanders plans gonna cost?" I think the more important question is, how expensive is it not to have him? How expensive is it to have a medical emergency without insurance? How much does it cost our society when people don't have access to higher education? How expensive is it to seek out the military option instead of diplomatic resolutions? How much more are we spending on fossil fuels than we could save long term if we invested in green energy? How expensive is it to ignore climate change and deal with the fallout from historic droughts and mega storms? Stop being so short-sighted that you cannot see how nice it would be to live in a well educated and healthy society. The things Bernie wants to spend money on aren't costs... Wars are a cost, prisons are a cost; healthcare, education, and rebuilding our infrastructure, these are investments in America.
