"I'm Not Willing to Do That": Trump Says He Won't Take Climate Action Because It Would Threaten Corporate Profits

I didn't know that the products government-funded research were made by an economic system! Wow, interesting stuff. Remember that old tech company DARPA that invented the internet and made hundreds of billions of dollars off of it? Or the first private space company NASA that beat those poor russian farmers into space? What about that one pharmaceutical research giant called the NIH that until recently funded more than 50% of new drug research, only to sell the patents for far less than the cost of research?

Oh wait. It's almost as if an economic system driven by personal greed is inherently risk-averse, requiring the government to step in and do what governments in communist states do anyway, except allowing private individuals to make profit without any of the risk.

If you cannot see that, you are honestly a moron.

If it were true, then that might be a fair point.

The system isn't "fair", but it obviously fucking works - and works WELL.

The system isn't "fair", and it obviously doesn't work for the lower class.

Show me ANY other successful system.

China's mixed system leans more heavily toward socialism with state ownership and economy planning than private ownership, opposite our system. Our media made a great deal out of their economy's growth slowing down to a 28-year low of "only" 6.6%.
