I'm on the verge of giving up drinking and I'm shit scared.

You've just got to keep scrying the future without it by giving it honest attempts. Every time you do and - wake up feeling less cloudy - not as achy - more observant of activity around you in life.

You'll want to have that. You may only know this by relapsing and having some drinks... and then feeling shitty about having those drinks. This will only highlight how BAD it makes you feel mentally and physically. You'll note how it is a demon inside you that wants to destroy you. You'll see how much you're spending on it. Then... you'll give it another shot. You'll keep working on improving. The desire to quit will hopefully shine through. It'll be a massive struggle with emotional upswings and and temptation. I believe you can do it. I'm working on doing so right now myself.

As for what you can do for getting bored. Ask yourself what you're doing when drinking that isn't boring because it probably is. Take up excercise. that can have great results fairly quickly for your mood, appearance, and overall health. Endorphines are that natural high.

You're in the right place to be reaching out to even talk about it.
