I wonder how much of it is also that these people actually know that their doctors weren't all Hermione in school. Everyone wants to believe their doctors were perfect students in school, but those of us who actually knew doctors back before they were doctors know that A, B, and C actually were Hermione, but D copied off me in biology and E only passed Chem and O Chem by sleeping with his TA and F was a theater major with all the shenanigans that entails and G used to be my pot dealer in high school. For the record, I actually would trust any and all of them as a doctor, but I highly doubt any of their patients actually want to know these things about them.
