Isn't false advertising a crime?

I think they'll have ample bits of text around the place pointing out that the end product is subject to change.

From that point of view it wouldn't stick, not for one ship.

Let's assume the game ands up being totally different from what was advertised: features missing, different gameplay etc.

Then 'you' (not you personally) might have a case that the game was falsely advertised but again they include plenty of notifications that it is in development and they promise nothing.

From a legal point of view I would be interested how far such disclaimers carried merit. If you're taking people's money, sooner or later you should be expected to meet what you said you'd do in some form.
