Israeli airstrikes on Gaza kill 20 people, including nine children, Palestinian officials say

"Dismissing?" We cannot dismiss it. It is horrifying and despicable and there is no justification for killing children, or any civilians for that matter.

Israel has a policy of its military not firing on any target where children/civilians are known to be.

Hamas forces Palestinian women, elderly and children to stay in buildings they are using as bases for attacks. Then, when Israel fires back to neutralize rockets that are firing into Israeli neighborhoods, Hamas can pull out the bodies and say, "you see? Look how brutal Israel is."

So what is the answer? Does Israel have the right to defend its citizens from attack?

I certainly have no answers.
