She could have made the same point by saying “Bernie is wrong. Of course a woman can be president” and then lay on the strengths that Warren could bring. The same point, said in a different way that sends a signal of strong women instead of a submissive thought

Instead she resorted to the “little lady comment” that simply confirms the bias that women should be the submissive ones, which is where conservative voters seem to think they should be.
