Why is it that some people claim “Oh just talk to women and make women friends like you would guys”

Evidently from this thread (and my similar one lately) its far more complicated than that and if you go into it with this mindset it can be extremely frustrating. Its not the same and people should acknowledge that more regularly

(you did and most people in this thread are, but I mean in other threads that aren’t about this too)

Imo its absolutely not straightforward and the causes of the difficulty here can overlap with the causes of difficulty in getting a date, so thats why it almost seems like a circular solution to “meet more women as friends”
