Kim Jong-un is no joke, says North Korean defector

Your first sentence is a very true point. I don't know if its a good one in this context, but very true.

That being said, one of the biggest glaring element of your comment that you may not realize is future considerations and casual dismissal of sovereignty in general, which is really offensive and threatening to a lot of people around the world. It'll be like if China just casually said "If America goes below this certain standard against their own constitution for a duration of 12 months, we will just invade because they are falling below the values that they imposed on themselves and are therefore failing as a society". It's alarming when on the other side of the table, you're just "allowed" to survive by this other force.

And lastly, the trivial way in which you perceive the process of removing North Korea with no responsibility whatsoever. Perhaps if you sacrificed 80% of your future income toward NK's removal in perpetuity, your comment will be more convincing.

In other words, in your point of view, you may only consider North Korea to just be bad, hence requiring removal. Simple enough. But one thing I learned in life is that good intentions have ZERO positive effect. Good intentions are absolute garbage, good intentions aren't even good. The only good thing good intentions can be attributed to is good results but good intentions and good results are rarely connected in any kind of guarantee, the results have always varied.

With war there are costs, there are American lives at stake, there are plans that must be made to make this as cost effective, minimal life expectancy, and also a reason "why". Why now? Why do it? America doesn't operate under a secret shadow dictatorship (or if it does, hehe, it still has to answer to the following...). Its government, congressmen, senators and president and lobbyists and private funders all have a say in the the policy direction of the country and the use of its national assets including the military. So why invade NK? It has to be justified.

Especially after sinking billions into Iraq and Afghanistan where trillions were made in the war industry. Suppose there is a lot of people who want to profit off of that, yeah maybe war with NK will happen. But profit for a certain group means loss for another. Hence the shitty education in our country, crumbling roads, corporations being obsessed about profits and not giving back to the community (as a huge trend I mean) and overall sense of desperation.

The most important thing to address in your comment is that, "Fixing the world = Bullshit". It's really the worst idea in the world. If you specifically meant take out the NK regime, sure, I'll take it back. But if you mean fixing all of the worlds problems, its time you get off the high horse and pretend that's even possible. It's not. Its not that I'm being jaded, its not possible.

So you have to pick your battles, and ask yourself How will YOU make the world a better place? You can't fix the world or its problems, so tackle the aspect YOU WANT to focus on.

Just imagine if we all live on Mars, and your job as a mega supply deliveryman to Mars is to decide which station to deliver oxygen to. Your idea of "Fix the world" is the same as = "It'll be nice if Mars atmosphere all had an atmosphere of Oxygen. yeah that'll be great.

But theres limited resources in the world. And time. And money. And it takes conscious effort to do things. So what will you do? Maybe you should go to North Korea and help people defect if you care so much about the issue. Or maybe you just feel like NK is bad and want it gone. Well friend, theres a ton of bad people out there, and they aren't just gonna go away on their own. They require very deliberate effort to do so.
