Maybe this shift in employment will challenge you and help you grow? It's very possible.

I know this is lame advice, but I'll relay a personal story.

A number of years ago I had a boss who was, in my opinion, a black hole for any sort of energy. He just fed off of people and was a sadistic asshole. One of my co-workers had to go to a hospital because of a nervous breakdown caused by this guy, and the unfortunate part is we couldn't exactly quit our jobs.

I started testing things out. Small spells here or there to see if they had an effect and they did. He'd get nicer for a bit, or if it was a binding, he'd grow quiet and calm, brooding in his office and not coming out for the whole day.

Finally one day came where (and I can't remember what the event was, as there were so many), I just had enough. I was going to cast the most nasty, mean, horrid thing I could at this guy in the form of an effigy. I woke up at three in the morning to do so, and I poured every inch of my angst and anger into it and wrapped it up three hours later before work.

I got on my motorcycle and was heading in to work and went down on my bike. I had only been going 35 down the street and I was wearing gloves, leather jacket, helmet, etc.

I figured out what caused the accident after I got up and started looking at the bike. An antique nail, similar to the ones I had been fiddling with just a little while earlier, was sticking out of my now deflated front tire.

The point was made clear. I'll never do that again.
