LPT:During all future job interviews you should ask the hiring manager what they did during the virus outbreak. Their answer will let you know how much they care for their employees.

The amount of people saying this advice is bad most likely live in America and are a proof how fucked the system is.

It's only bad if you are desperate for a job and not terribly skilled or intelligent. Any good hiring manager will answer without hesitation and honestly. Bad hiring managers will be taken aback - how dare you question the supreme wisdom of those in charge of the power imbalance! - but also know they've "lost the game" if their default move is to defer to their own chain of command and protect the brand by obscuring it.

At the end of the day, if they don't own their answer, they can either pay more to save face ("we're a bad company, but we're in a bad spot"), or they'll stick to their guns with a a pathetic job offer that wasn't worth taking anyway.
