LPT: It's not about finding a career you're passionate about it's about finding a career you can tolerate so you can do the things you're passionate about

I've been passionate about programming since I was a teenager so there was no doubt in my mind what I wanted to do for work.

It was a bit of a shock my first week how much less fun working on someone else's project is but it was still fun. I solved interesting problems and collaborated with interesting people.

The few times I had to pull all nighters I wasn't miserable because I was doing something I loved.

Recently, with all the free time I have, I started a YouTube channel and started working on personal projects again for it and BOY do I miss working on personal projects.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I agree with the LPT. Doing something you're passionate for a living has its advantages. Just don't expect to enjoy your passion the same when you're doing your hobby professionally.
