My town had a fall harvest parade about ten years ago. Usually it's tractors pulling trailers and floats and people selling corn, honey, fried stuff, etc. On the back of tractors there is an output shaft (PTO) that can be disengaged on most/some tractors. I am not sure why, but on one of the tractors in the parade the PTO was left on. A kid ran from the crowd and headed right for the PTO. My dad intercepted the kid about 3 feet away from being blended into pink goo. The kid's mother was furious that my dad forcefully grabbed her baby, even though he saved it's life. Luckily the entire crowd saw what happened and ripped the mom a new one. My dad just snapped back at the lady with, "Fuck it, I'll never do your job again." Crazy day.
