Often times conjuring up things the other side will do for real crimes in their own party far in advance just to enrage their base as well as a pre-emptive "I told you so" Then when people call for accountability, they cry unity and play that shit on right-wing trash outlets 24/7. Where was that unity when they were obstructing every piece of legislation for the past decade? There's also the textbook GOP strat of taking one fact, remove all context, and display that like it's the only thing that matters. Death panels, anyone? More recently, AOC "not even in the same building" despite the complex being entirely connected and a roaming mob was pretty much everywhere plus the countless death threats she's received thanks to their propaganda bullshit. She calls for accountability, and they smear her. Pretty obvious except to the willfully ignorant.

If they were being shitty to benefit their constituants, you can at least give them credit for that. But no. They screw them, too. The GOP uses their existing prejudices and lack of accurate information, encourage it, and tout those things as reasons why the imaginary enemy is destroying America and having a lower standard of living is somehow patriotic.
