Ha! Cute, imaginative.... but seriously, fair point. I’ve been married for over 20 years, happily, and with great equanimity, so I can see how my perspective on dating and figuring it all out, learning about someone else with all of the insecurities and vulnerability that go along with that, might be a little skewed, but it seems to me that making a delineation between what women are portrayed to expect, what we are conditioned to expect, what we are perceived to expect, and what we actually want, as individuals, is important. Someone who would behave the way the women in these posts would behave isn’t an example of a woman expecting a rom com outcome, it’s someone using rom com outcomes to justify shitty behavior.
