Microsoft joins the Blender Development Fund

This is absolutely ridiculous. WSL exists entirely for Windows-only environments that would have never bothered or even considered moving to an all-Linux environment anyway.

No one is going to start developing WSL-only software (except maybe Microsoft), because that would be idiotic. Even if Microsoft decided to, why on earth would the rest of a Linux-dominated environment suddenly throw their hands up and say "well, Microsoft makes this but it doesn't work with standardized open source distributions of Linux like CentOS and RHEL. We better rip out all of our standardized Linux infrastructure and convert to WSL just so we can use it!"

What's actually going to happen is that those companies that run predominantly Linux environments, especially ones that already use standardized Linux with industry standard open source tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, etc, they're just going to be like "nah, we're not going to buy that" and that'll be the end of that.
