Why is mining vehicle spawns even allowed?

What makes it necessary?

The game mechanics as they are presented.

Did you play the game before they existed? I do not believe you would say that if you had.

Yup. I've been playing since beta for at least an hour a day just about every day. I'm pretty addicted despite my disappointments, although if I could go back to BF2 I would because commanding there was much more fun than it is here.

I never had problems with the NDZ not being there. It never bothered me that attackers could put an AMS directly on the point because back then I felt that if defenders let them do that, it was their fault. I didn't mind people placing explosives near jump pads or inside spawn rooms, but it doesn't really bother me much that it has been removed. It does feel like it was removed to make the game easier for the foolish though. The people who would die to those things were usually the ones who needed to be the first in and they deserved to be the one to die.

If I wanted to win I would not pull a tank I have already said this explicitly. You strike me as a person who values a "win" (any win) much more than a "gg".

It depends on what I am doing. I don't usually pull tanks either as I find Sunderers far more valuable and useful. I'm usually providing the support for those tanks or the spawn to the attack. When I'm a follower or the rare times I'm solo then all I usually look for is places that I can kill the enemy. When I'm leading I feel it is my job to help my team win. I want my team to have fun, and if it ends up a ghost cap where we aren't having fun we will split up to find or make a fight. Usually though the guys I am leading have the most fun when they are winning regardless of the advantages they have. I assume there are other leaders like me who will use whatever advantages they can, so I would be a fool to let my enemy dictate the terms of engagement to me. I don't often look for fair fights though because in this game they don't exist, or at least not for long, and I'm of the opinion that they shouldn't.
