Why do most couples want to hang out with other couples?

I'm single and I can understand.

So, it comes to two perspectives, Mine and theirs'. I've lost my 8-9 years old friends in a month or two to their partners, with them going no-contact all of a sudden as they had got into relationships.

Mine: I hate to be a third wheel, or even fifth, I hate to be in situations when it's clearly visible that I'm not wanted and respected. I hate to be in situations where some things are kept from me and only discussed with couples like their romantic or travel moments or even life/financial decisions, I don't want to know either but it feels disrespect that they don't consider me as a part of the group and I sit there with my fake laugh supporting them. So, I stopped asking to hang out and I got no invitations whatsoever ever, it's been 1.3 years with 0 communication between us, only communication happens is when they need my help because I'm more successful and have the resources.

Theirs: Third wheel, they feel uncomfortable to take such a guy with them, single girls are ok as what I've seen, I don't know why? maybe the general mindset of India that Indiam men are always desperate, who knows.
