Leading 14-5 and then they started having "connection issues" and pausing every freezetime thus killing all of our monentum. Lost the match 19-17, admin didn't do anything.
permalinksavereportgive goldreply [–]promyy [score hidden] an hour ago I was screwed over in ESWC qualifier as well, 2 years ago in Shootmania: Storm. Administrators of the cup abused every single rule in existence just to be able to win. They ended up losing in the final if I remember correctly.
It was a complete trainwreck, a team we were matched against was allowed to play with a stand-in far beyond the skill of anyone else in the cup, which itself was hilarious because he was never a part of the team, but to add to that, he was also from a different country, which abused at least 3 rules at once.
In the end we just laughed it off, as we had to play with a guy that never played the game before and got stomped, but ESWC has to do something about those qualifier cups. Their organization is usually handed to people who should never run a cup, especially of this kind of importance. I don't know how it looks like in CS:GO, but I assume it works similarly to what we experienced.

Nowadays, the meaning you're referring to doesn't really carry over (primarily because it's not a relevant distinction to make anymore). People usually just use "xth world" to refer to modernization and quality of life.
