You came here for help, and the advice I gave you is the only thing you can do. I was exactly like your boyfriend so I have some sympathy for him, but my girlfriend pushed me, and motivated to become better, ever since then I've been in school doing extremely well and I went from playing video games everyday to not even playing at all. You have a huge influence, just not with your threats that have zero effect because you are stuck in the mindset that you can't do anything
