My boyfriend doesn't want me to quarantine- even get tested for Covid-19

Did you wear a mask while rolling the silverware, and wash your hands before? If so, please don't worry too much. You did the best you could with the information you had available to you. Also, surface transmission isn't very common.

If you can't get tested, you can still quarantine for 10 days from the first day of symptoms. Data shows that people are most contagious at the beginning, and much less contagious towards the end of 10 days. Quarantining for 10 full days will remove the bulk of the risk of transmission (if you have COVID).

If you still want to get tested, you can call your primary care physician to try and arrange testing (tell them you have symptoms), or you could look into home testing kits (check first with your insurance to see if this is covered)

Lastly, I just want to point out that if the govt wanted your DNA.... they'd have it. Everyone has had their nose swabbed or blood drawn before. And that's not to mention we bleed an immeasurable amount of personal data thru our smartphones each and every day. Also, if the govt wanted to make us dependent on aid, they would make said aid more widely available, and it wouldn't be so damn hard just to get a little help in hard times. I can understand the growing mistrust in govt given the repeated failures in national and state level leadership, but there's no need to entertain paranoia. This is your health at hand. You deserve to be taken seriously. I'm sorry he's being unsupportive and making this more stressful than it has to be, OP.
