My debut amateur MMA fight. Have a watch if you're interested, and let me know what you think.

Great job man. As soon as you guys hit the mat it became very obvious what the outcome of the fight would be.

Once you pressed him on the cage he was just begging you to take his leg for the trip. I think my instinct would be to go really high amplitude and slam the fuck out of him but you did this really slick shit that almost lands you in that really great leg weave position. Didn't quite get that leg weave though and he pushes your hip away and puts his calf across it and then you force an arm trap and ended up in teabag town.

That was some spider monkey shit to hold on when you had the single hook in to end up in mount.

Armbar set-up from high mount was really great and efficient, and once you get it, it really showed how in control of yourself you are to be that relaxed with your first finish right there in your hands. I think both of you guys know you could have taken that arm home with you if you just fkin cranked that shit with bad intentions from the setup but good on you for being a martial artist and not an animal.

I'm not a big fan of walking forward in a straight line and then turtling and checking kicks as an entry into close range but he obviously did not want you close to him and the pressure made him spazz out again with whatever those takedown attempts were so who cares. That one kick you threw with the check leg took me by surprise just like all the other slick shit you did, would have been cool to see more of your stand up but that wasn't in the cards vs this guy. I think you gave him some free shots which could have been lethal vs alot of fighters.

Overall I think you did exactly what you needed and should have done which is stay disciplined and just capitalize on all the openings he gave you. Dude gave you his neck and you latched on like a fuckin crocodile all the way to the mat and never gave it back. Impressive win because it was very obvious you were just a more technically skilled martial artist, no swangin and bangin necessary.
