My friend paid 1,300$ for this

Okay okay. I digress. Maybe it is a little bit about sparing him some feels.

My Aunt, she was an old lady. She was on FB 24/7 and her Zynga games were slow. She asked around (on facebook i assume) and got a list of some high end Intel parts. She asked me if I could build it. I said fo sho. But cautioned her how it would be over-kill. She did not care. So I gathered the cheapest prices for all the components and said, "Here you go, when they come, I'll assemble it and set it up."

They ended up going to a rinky-dink local shop which charged just as much for an AMD shit-box, micro atx... just maybe a $300 system minus the big loud powered speakers.

When I found out I almost shit a brick. <-- gauche . But she was so happy with it, and like Brendan could not return it for a refund. Why ruin that?

So the system stopped working after a couple months. And I came over to see what was up. No POST. Removed everything but RAM CPU, still no POST. Brought it back to the shop where it was covered under warranty. Dude would not even get off the phone to talk. I said it is not posting. Dude said leave it here.

When they picked it up, they were told there was nothing wrong with it. That is was fine and was charged $50 for them to look at it. Dude really replaced the shitty motherboard.

Again they were happy with it. I said to my Uncle that wasn't right. There was something wrong. He did not care. The Aunt was so happy to have it back and working.

Ironically dude had to close up shop. I don't know what happened. I guess there was a fire there or something. I don't know how it happened. I mean, I was out of town at the time.
