My opinion on Plastic Memories (Spoilers are tagged and separated at the bottom)

(/s "'We look forward to your next visit with all of our hearts' Personally, I think the entire journey of getting to know Isla, was beautiful and almost too realistic at times. Finding out how she used to be, who she still is, her small habits, and her outlook in both life and her occupation. You really get the sense that you're viewing her through the eyes of someone who cherishes her. Which is why I found it very appropriate when Tsukasa lists of the reasons he loves her. Ilsa thinks he's just listing off her faults, but you can tell he loves every part of what makes her Isla. Even her clumsiness. I liked this message of cherishing the people you love on more than just one level and for as long as you can. I think it's Isla and Tsukasa's imperfections that really set this series apart. I'm glad that their relationship wasn't this constant romanticized event. It was like a real ongoing process of trying to understand each other and make one another happy. They were lost most of the time, and had to think things through together. Just my opinion, but I feel like the show did set itself apart from typical romances. Other than that, there is a constant mesh of melancholy and dream-like essence from episode to episode, as the show proceeds towards its tragic promise. It's like drifting down a pleasant stream with an end we all to well expect. So the viewer can either strain themselves in anticipation or drift and accept that, as a certain space cowboy once said, 'whatever happens, happens.'I was heartbroken at the end, but I didnt regret the journey for a second. Because for all of the sadness and heartache,we will never forget the memories we were left with.")
