New road was not sealed correctly. The result.

I know, I was listing the two that we do the most of. Public is of course different and more difficult due to various reasons but it still doesn't change the fact that even an outside contractor should be able to know if the people they are hiring are competent at the job or not. Otherwise why bother with a contractor at all? You could put a listing in the paper and get Joes from the street if you aren't worried about your reputation or end result. The last public job we did was only a few months ago, just an old back country road but we've never had to have a contractor for that either, they see our work and they call us typically. Honestly I avoid public work whenever possible because they pay about the same as commercial work but leave out critical details or just flat out lie sometimes. The old country road i mentioned for example, I had 3 different people telling me where the road ended and all 3 had a different mark which is quite important considering a difference even a single foot can make for price and the fact that while we do always get extra mix it's quite expensive to drive a dump truck 15 miles back to the site because someone gave you bad Info. Most of the public work we do is fixing someone else's mistakes but that is usually uneven edges and shoddy finishes not the kind of huge mistakes seen in the photo here. I've honestly never seen a professional operation screw up so badly in the years I've been doing it.
