They're on the same level as chimps in my book. Unpredictable and more of a wild beast when they snap than a domesticated animal or pet. They should be banned. Breeding them should be a felony. Saying this as a former pit owner.

I wasn't ever a "pit advocate" or a total loon like the others but my late wife owned a large, chunky, 110lb american bully, and when I first met him he was my buddy from then on, and fortunately he lived a good life and was nothing but a loyal companion and sweetheart to our family and other pets. But after learning more about how unpredictable and dangerous they can be, I don't let my personal experience outweigh the tragedy, trauma, and pain these animals have caused and are capable of causing. They're just dangerous. Period.
