Not saying fire sucks...but

I should say that even though my local FD sucks not all do. Yes, I have contacted the captain and even the chief to suggest a refresher on vitals and other first responder skills. They don't believe there is a problem. They pencil whip the continuing education paperwork, and never actually do it. I have a good relationship with the guys on my shift. If it's not a call, they are good guys. I have offered to help them out with reviewing some skills, but only one has taken me up on that offer. I just needed to vent a bit, didn't mean to step on toes. I expect a trained first responder to be bagging a not breathing trauma when I arrive instead of doing nothing. Yes, I've even reported that, doesn't help.
