"Real" Satanists (note the quotation marks) are what popular culture would consider to be Satanists. People who worship Satan usually in some mockery of the Christian faith, black mass and desecrated hosts. Ultimately they're just edgy people who don't understand what Satan really stands for.

No. The Satanic Temple are the people who follow the true Satanic ideology of rejecting God, making man and end unto himself and trying to recreate the world in our image as exemplified by the Secular Humanist ideology. Ironically it's the people who claim they have no belief in Satan who most effectively carry out his will by encouraging an overtly materialistic and humanistic philosophy that denies the reality of God and the eternal fate of humanity.
