You’re not wrong. I guess I should have specified that the correct course doesn’t necessarily mean the one we “were” on. Which is why I answered the way I did when you asked for clarification. I fully get why that’s confusing following the analogy another user made because they implied course correcting back to the correct course. I’m not saying things were ever good, just implying that the correct course is one where people are treated equally. And I highly doubt oppressed groups of people won’t feel the need to “course correct” until we reach that point. When I said I don’t care about your opinion it came off more aggressively than I meant it, I only meant it’s my day off and I don’t want to argue philosophy all day with a stranger I’ll never know.
