NP was offered deal with Cloud 9, turned it down.

Here's a timeline of what happened (no opinion here, just facts):

0) The brazilian players signed a contract with SK after signing a letter of intent with LG. LG claimed the LoI was as good as a contract, while SK claimed it wasn't enforceable.

1) ELEAGUE volunteered to mediate the dispute. An agreement was reached and LG released the players.

2) The ELEAGUE manager made a tweet saying the ex-LG players would be able to continue playing in the league, with SK replacing LG in the standings. LG would be removed from the competition and the former SK squad would also continue playing under another name (they called themselves Team X IIRC)

3) Many NA orgs signed a petition claiming SK should be disquafilied because of the roster changed and threatened to leave the tournament if ELEAGUE didn't comply.

4) ELEAGUE disqualified both SK and Team X.

Now my opinion: why didn't ELEAGUE say anything when they mediated the agreement? "Oh, by the way, if this deal goes forward, both squads are DQ'ed from ELEAGUE". And why did their manager tweet saying neither squad would be DQ'ed?

When ELEAGUE changed their minds, they claimed the petition didn't have anything to do with it, which was clearly bullshit. It can't be just a fucking coincidence.

Maybe there was a loophole in the rules somewhere, I don't know, but it's clear there was shady shit going on. And it was also clear ELEAGUE wouldn't have disqualified SK if the orgs hadn't threatened to abandon.
