Oregon governor signs bill banning guns at Capitol, requiring safe storage at home

Gun ownership is a right and there has to be a way to educate people without making it a restriction on every individual’s rights. I know it’s brought up a lot, but why not just teach it to everyone in school before they’re old enough to legally buy them. That would provide the same education folks want, but to a much larger percentage of the population, and at a cheaper cost than creating government agencies to control and enforce this stuff after the fact. It will also teach those who don’t want to be involved with guns how to safely interact with them if they come in to contact with them; we know many will regardless of their feelings on the subject. I think this method of education would be more in line with reinforcing our rights as opposed to restricting them.
