Parents of reddit, what's something that you think teenagers of reddit need to hear?

Some of you will die as a direct result of the risky, hormonal, daredevil decisions that are often made at that age. Some of you will die later on as a direct result of habits formed at that age.

Maybe it's the dabbling in drugs as a teen that will result in a fentanyl habit, which then results in an overdose. Maybe it will be a high speed car wreck on prom night. Maybe some will develop a penchant for fighting as a teen and years later start a fight with the wrong guy at a bar and get shot in the head (after coming home from a deployment to Iraq).

These are all things that happened to teenagers/young adults that I knew. And all of them were preventable. If you're going to dabble in hard drugs, just know that you have no idea going into it if one of those drugs will hook you like a fish. If you're going to fly around in your car, just know that high velocity, asphalt, and human beings don't mix (wear your fucking seatbelts and be smart about when you decide to mash on the gas pedal). If you're someone who gets in fights a lot in highschool, just know you may start a fight with someone who is at their wits end. You get the idea. Use your heads.
